Dear Neighbors,

My name is Pilar Faulkner and I’m running to be your City Council member for District 3.

I am a daughter of Northern New Mexico. I grew up in Ojo Caliente and attended Pojoaque High School, and have lived in Santa Fe for thirty-three years, raising my family here. My dad was a machinist and volunteer firefighter and served in the Navy. My mom was a nurse and homemaker, caring for my five siblings and me.

For decades, I have advocated for the Southside to get its fair share of services. When the Super Walmart was proposed in the early 2000’s, I conducted a survey in District 3 and found the community overwhelmingly supported it because of the lack of grocery stores in our area. I led the campaign to bring Walmart in. I helped lead the fight to bring funding to the Southside Library. Over the years, I have raised millions of dollars for Zona Del SOL, the Teen Center, the Southside Library, soccer field improvements, the Boys and Girls Club, SWAN, and Rancho Del Sol Parks. Earlier this year as a City Planning Commission member, I helped to champion a new project near the Zia Rail Runner station that will create 39 units of affordable housing. And as the first block captain in Tierra Contenta, I brought the community and police together to build positive policing and traffic safety improvements.

That’s what I’ll continue to do as your next City Councilor - bring the community together to bring about change and ensure District 3 gets the resources and attention we deserve.

Thank you for visiting my website. I’d love your support for my campaign.

Thank you!

Pilar
